What We Do:

Our objective is to present to the girls a like-new doll. This is how the renovation process works:

We receive donated American Girl® dolls.

We receive the dolls in various states of disrepair. A team of volunteers disassemble, clean, restring and re-wig as required.

Part Replacement

Our volunteers make sure every doll donated is like-new. Everything from replacing eyes, to arms, to a doll’s hair will be replaced if needed. No corners cut, and our team of young lady testers tell us if something doesn’t look just right.

Prep & Cleaning

Depending on what each doll needs, we clean up the doll, carefully scrubbing away any dirt or signs of wear, and get it ready for new parts and clothes.

Details & Hair Care

After renovation, volunteers repaint the face and other details, then the dolls go to a salon for cutting and styling of the new hair.

Final Packaging

The finished dolls are packaged in a new box which includes an extra outfit, book, and an accessory. Additionally, a small spray bottle and hair brush or pick are enclosed along with directions for care of the hair.
